Marcia Hadjimarkos was born in the USA and has lived in Burgundy for many years. She studied the fortepiano with Jos Van Immerseel at the Paris Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique. She is highly regarded in the early keyboard world as a soloist, chamber musician, for her work with singers (Emma Kirkby, Julianne Baird, Beth Taylor…), and as a teacher. Her recordings of Haydn sonatas and canzonettas, C.P.E. Bach’s Character Pieces, and Mozart sonatas have received particular critical acclaim.
