DIEGO SALAMANCA

Born in 1977, in Bogota, Diego Salamanca began his musical training in his home country before continuing his lute studies with Eugène Ferré at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique of Lyon. In addition to his work on the 17th and 18th centuries lute repertoire, he performs with various ensembles, including the Pygmalion Ensemble (Raphael Pichon) and the Correspondances Ensemble (Sébastien Daucé).

Apart from his life as a musician, Diego has a passion for photography. He takes photos every day, capturing the images that the artistic context in which he evolves offers him.

The cover photos of the Coloquintes Duo’s records were taken by him as well as those of his record, Lute pieces by S.L. Weiss.
