Created in 2012 by Alice Julien-Laferrière, the Artifices Ensemble performs different types of programmes and events. The musicians and artists are invited to perform during concerts, all audience shows or performances for children and during conferences, interventions in schools or music walks.
After The seven-league boots, published by Littlevillage, Harmonia Mundi publisher, in 2018, the second CD & book of Artifices Ensemble (The violin and the Bird)was released in December 2019, by Publisher Seulétoile, followed by the CD & poster, in May 2020. In November 2021, Artifices Ensemble printed the Alphabet primer bestiary , their third CD & book, made with children.
The Artifices Ensemble is settled in Saône-et-Loire, at La Turbine, a place where the musicians live and work. This place is dedicated to the cultural relations that people have with their environment, their living areas and nature.
