Hager Hanana

French-Tunisian, Hager Hanana started playing the cello at the age of 9, with Eva Descaves, at the Academy of Music (Conservatoire) of Brest, her home town.<\/p>\n

The very first sounds of the musical environment she was plunged in were a deciding factor of her choice to become a musician.<\/p>\n

Six years later she was accepted to the Conservatoire National Superior de Musique de Paris, in the cello class of Philippe Muller, and then in the Baroque cello class of Christophe Coin. She also attended Maurice Bourgue\u2019s chamber music class.<\/p>\n

In the new Early music department of the Conservatoire of Paris, she found the same sense of discovery that had carried her so far. It was therefore quite natural after wining unanimously first prizes, for cello and Baroque cello, that she chose to dedicate herself to playing historical instruments.<\/p>\n

Baroque cello, bass violin, piccolo cello and romantic cello allow her to play a repertoire from the 17th to the 21st century.<\/p>\n

The musicians and ensembles that underlined her career are: Christophe Coin (Ensemble Mosa\u00efques), Philippe Herreweghe (Collegium Vocals de Gent and Orchestra of Champs Elys\u00e9es), Herv\u00e9 Piquet (Le Concert Spirituel), Jean-Christophe Frisch (XVIII-21 Le Baroque Nomade), Patrick Bismuth, (La Tempesta), Marcel Ponseele (II Gardellino).<\/p>\n

Today, she is pleased to be asked as a continuo player by Gli Angeli Gen\u00e8ve, Stephan MacLeod, S\u00e9bastien Dauc\u00e9 (Correspondances), Alexis Kossenko (Les Ambassadeurs), S\u00e9bastien d\u2019H\u00e9rin (Les Nouveaux Caract\u00e8res), with whom she plays both in chamber music and in large ensembles.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
